Why hello all you ladies and gents out there.
So much for blogging every day....I promise I will be posting about twice a day or so when I'm in Visalia. I can't believe I'm moving in less than two weeks. It's scary and exciting. Being back in the Bay Area has not helped with this transition, though. I haven't really seen anyone I knew in high school, but the feeling I get when I'm in the city is just so comforting. I know where everything is, where all the hot spots are..which reminds me..I missed trivia night at The Bitter End last night. P.S. If you haven't been to The Bitter End for drinks, food, or Trivia then this is your time to go! Love the place because the trivia is hard as hell and they give out prizes to teams with the best group name! I think my friend and I named ourselves "We love you long time" once. Talk about being racist to our own kind! It was fun though. Yup, lots of fun.
What I'm most excited about Visalia is the fact that it's such a small town, which means I will be able to be a "regular" at my favorite coffee shop or bar. The baristas and bartenders and waitresses and waiters will all call me by my first name. "Hey Christina! Let me guess, tall Chai? latte?" Yup, I can picture it now..
I've also been thinking about needing a hobby when I'm in Visalia. Painting perhaps? Someone I know mentioned ballroom dancing, which scares me to death! Sweaty hands aren't good for dancing. Anywho, feel free to give me ideas!
Time to eat. Toodles!

3 more days!
Hi all,
I know, you must be thinking, "Another blog!?" And my answer is "Yes!" I promise to do my best to update this thing every single day. Why? Because it's a personal blog and I can do what I want! :) I'll also need some sort of companion when I move to Visalia, CA in case I get lonely without my future kitty, Chai. Writing has always been a great outlet for me, so I'm super excited about being able to document my life for all you folks who are interested in finding out more about the Central Valley. If you're interested, read further and follow me damnit! And yes, please show some enthusiasm! That's right, "I scream, you scream, we all scream for Visalia!" What? I need to get pumped up somehow...
So, the title of this blog is, "3 more days!" Yup, that's right. Three more days until me graduate-ay. I've been in college for umm..five years? Seems way too long in my book, but I know that after it's all over I will miss school and beg to be a forever student at city college. I decorated my cap yesterday for all of you who are somewhat interested. I keep thinking my foam "LiLi" letters are going to fall off and fly away in the wind before I walk across the stage. Nonetheless, I am ready for this day to arrive. It seems the only way I can be taken seriously as a journalist is if I have a degree. Sad, don't you think? I can rant and rave all day about this topic, but I will leave that for a day when I am basking in the 110 degree weather in Visalia. Did I say basking? I meant baking.
Countdown - 27 more days until I will be working as a copy editor at the Visalia Times-Delta. Now, time to eat dinner. Toodles.
